Born:  On October 28, 1923 at Wylliesburg, Charlotte County, VA., son of James Henry and Janie Wilson Grady Newcomb. Roy was raised along with five brothers and five sisters  in Charlotte County and was educated in the public schools of Charlotte. Roy died on September 5, 2010.

       

Served:  U.S. Army, during World War II

Married: To the former Lucille Ray Tuck (4-5-1931/5-4-2009) and  this union was blessed with five sons and three daughters.

Buried:  Monroe Church of God, Monroe, Amherst Co., VA.

Roy’s love for the Lord led him to the ministry, where he labored for over 60 years, pasturing the Monroe Church of God for some 29 years before his death.
