This home was originally built on the land granted to Stephen Bedford in 1761. The first house was destroyed by fire around 1841, and the present structure erected shortly thereafter.  It is located .1 mile east of State Route 637, (W. Saxkey Road)  about .16 miles south of Drake Branch.
