World War II

Born on the 21st. of August 1921 to Oscar W. and Lillie Mae Baldwin Price, Hubert was raised in Charlotte County, Virginia.  He entered the service of his country during World War II and was assigned to the Army Air Corps, 15th. Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron,  where he was an active participant in the Pacific Theater during the war, and was discharged on the 19th. of February, 1946, having attained the rank of  Technician Fifth Grade.



After the war he was employed by the Norfolk and Western Railroad and became a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance-of-Way.


He was a member of Pamplin United Methodist Church.  Hubert passed away on the 9th.of September of 1977 at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, and was laid to rest in the Pamplin Cemetery.
